IART Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
International
Association for the Recognition of Toxicologists (IART) Memorandum of Understanding
to the International Union of Toxicologists (IUTOX) IART and IUTOX share a global
responsibility for the promotion and recognition of toxicology. IART
as defined in its charter, has been established to enhance the quality
and influence of toxicology throughout the world by establishing
a forum for the development, review and adoption of criteria for
recognizing qualified experts in toxicology, assisting toxicology
organizations in establishing these criteria and using them in the
recognition of toxicologists, and promoting the identification of
education and training needs to enhance expertise in toxicology. Criteria to be examined include
but are not limited to; education and training, professional experience,
contributions to toxicology (including publications, reports, etc.),
active practice, communication, peer review/professional recognition,
and examination procedures. IART, as described in the
attached IART Charter, is a financially self-supporting organization,
in which each participating organization will financially support
its delegate and alternate. The IART asks the IUTOX General
Assembly -
