Plan for 2001–2004
Members: Y. Kurokawa, I.G. Sipes, K. Rydzynski, H.M. Mehendale, A. Boobis
General Objectives
1. Increase the number of member societies by recruiting toxicological
societies considering application for IUTOX membership.
2. Encourage toxicologists to consider establishment of new toxicological
societies in countries that do no have such societies
3. Address organizational needs of existing IUTOX members
Specific Objectives for 2001-2004
1. At least 3 existing national toxicological societies as new IUTOX
member societies
2. At least 3 new national toxicological societies
3. Good communication with existing IUTOX member societies
General Tasks
1. Communicate with existing national toxicological societies that
are not yet IUTOX members
2. Communicate with toxicologists in countries considering establishment
of new national toxicological societies
3. Communicate with existing IUTOX members
Specific Tasks for 2001-2004
1. Identify at least 3 national societies that are interested in becoming
IUTOX members and assist them in this respect
2. Review applications for IUTOX membership
3. Identify toxicologists in at least 3 countries considering establishment
of new national toxicological societies
4. Contact existing IUTOX members at least one time per year in order
to address any organizational needs they may have
