IUTOX Sponsorship and Support of Speakers at NON-IUTOX Meetings

Goal: To increase the number of scientists in toxicology or other disciplines who recognize the value of toxicological sciences, as well as to expand opportunities for members to exchange information about toxicology.

IUTOX will consider the use of the IUTOX name to toxicology-related meetings sponsored by other not-for-profit organizations. Meetings will be endorsed based on the quality of the science and relevance to toxicology; breadth and scope of scientific appeal; timeliness of topic; selection of speakers; and completeness of proposal.

IUTOX will consider a limited number of requests for speakers at congresses in developing countries.

Meeting Endorsement

Meetings endorsed by IUTOX will be limited to the following:

• Use of IUTOX name on promotional materials.
• Announcement on IUTOX "Upcoming Meeting" web page.

Speaker Support

• Support of IUTOX speakers is available for a limited number of congresses in developing countries.
• Limited to a single speaker per congress.

Applications

All applications must include the following information:

Meeting Endorsement Request

• Name, date, and location of program.
• A list of organizers and other sponsors.
• One paragraph description of the scientific program and why it is important to the members of IUTOX.
• Program itinerary, including speakers.
• List of meeting attendees with addresses
• Progress report following the meeting

Speaker Support Request

• Name, date, and location of program.
• A list of organizers and other sponsors.
• Topic for which speaker is requested
• Statement that local arrangements will be covered by the requesting congress (only transportation to/from meeting site will be supported by IUTOX)
• Progress report of the meeting will be supplied to IUTOX by the speaker

Applications will be reviewed when received. IUTOX strives to provide feedback within 3 months from receiving the application.
