Environmental Oestrogens

Workshops on Environmental Oestrogens The International Union of Toxicology, with the support of the International Council for Science, is organising workshops on environmental oestrogens as part of a programme to amplify the information contained in the book Ì Natural and Anthropogenic Environmental Oestrogens: The Scientific Basis for Risk AssessmentO. The workshops have been held at the following locations: Canberra, Australia, December 1998 (with the Australasian Society of Toxicology); New Orleans, USA, February 1999 (with the Society of Toxicology); Keele, UK, April 1999 (with the British Toxicology Society); Oslo, Norway, June 1999 (with EUROTOX); Antalyia, Turkey, November 1999 (with the 4th International Congress of Toxicology in Developing Countries); Seoul, Korea, July, 2000 (with ASIATOX).  Each participant received a copy of the book as an aid to understanding of the issues. The workshops aim to inform the participants through discussion of the controversial issues about the impact of environmental oestrogens on human health and the environment.
